Golden Stave Foundation Lunch
The Australian music & entertainment Industries raising money for charity
Attended by over 1,070 executives and staff from major recording and publishing companies, promoters, radio, TV, as well as associated service organisations, this amazing event is known as the ‘longest lunch of the year’! This event is held annually to raise money for charity, which is then distributed to many various child-orientated charities.
Over the past 28 years, over $8 million has been raised for various child-orientated charities and we, at Nordoff-Robbins, have been the successful recipient of Golden Stave grants over many years. Our music therapy centre, the Golden Stave Music Therapy Centre, is proudly named after the Foundation as our major sponsor.
Every year the annual Golden Stave Lunch has grown in scale, scope and notoriety to the point where it has become an integral part of the music and entertainment industry's calendar. No one knows more about the art of ‘doing lunch’ than the music fraternity and with the Golden Stave, that art has reached a pinnacle of Bacchanalian proportions!
The 28th annual Golden Stave Lunch was held on Friday 30 June 2006 at the Hordern Pavilion. Entertainment included Adam Spencer, You Am I, John Paul Young, Bobbi's Pole Dancers, Tap Dogs and the entire cast of ‘Burn the Floor’. Some $750,000 was raised through donations, auctions and raffles.
